Finnish born Juha Rindell (born 1969) is a self-taught pop art painter. Such pop art icons as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg and Mel Ramos has affected a lot of Juha's style.
Rindell got enthusiastic about painting at the turn of the new millennium. This is what Juha himself has to say about his painting:
"I have always admired Pop Art and its true embodiment Andy Warhol. Warhol's work has been great inspiration to me.
In my paintings I try to combine comics, photo-realism and pop-style. Subjects to my paintings I often get from pop culture and its fascinating persons. Brisk and powerful colours combined to a person's appearance and character gives a direction to my paintings.
Music has been and will always be a strong inspiration to my works. While painting, I use to listen to music and let the music to be the guide to my brush. This may be the reason why some people have started to call me the Rock Painter.
Such pop icons as Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon, James Dean, Billy Idol and Marlon Brando etc. can be found on my paintings.
…I want to give a piece of my soul for each and every one of my paintings."
